The Cosmic Rabbit

“Hallo, Rabbit,” he said, “is that you?” "Let’s pretend it isn’t,” said Rabbit, “and see what happens.” ― A.A. Milne

Brett Invites me for a few days Break to the Karoo.

My friend Brett  www.tortoiseback.wordpress.com called and said "hey, why not come and visit for a few days ?"

I was excited because something said I should go to town and buy a camera drone right after the Sound Healing Therapy. I'd been a professional photographer since I was 18 so a camera drone seemed like a good idea. The big one or the small one the salesman pitched every angle on the drones, difference in quality etc. It suddenly struck me that I'd be going to India later this year for reasons that I was unaware of at the time, so I said I wanted the one that fitted into a lunchbox so I could take it with.

I told Brett that I'd just bought a camera drone and that it would be perfect to practice on his farm. 2 Hours later he what's app'd me to say that there was a professional camera drone flight instructor living a few farms away so I could take lessons.

I sms'ed another friend living in Calitzdorp , artist and photographer Derek McKenzie and excitedly told him the good news. Derek is very laid back, said he was happy and looked forward to seeing me. A week later Derek, who exhibits and sells his work through the Prince Albert Art Gallery sms'ed to say " by the way, when you're in Prince Albert stop by to see Brent from the Prince Albert Art Gallery. You've been booked to give a series of talks on camera drone filming at the Prince Albert Art Fair end May 2018. Better learn quickly"

This flow of events was taking on Cosmic proportions. I raced off to an engineers shop because I had this idea and I needed some pipes made up to stand in a Karoo Landscape. Miraculously they did everything for me while I waited and what they couldn't do the shop next door to them could and on my way out of Cape Town I stopped off to buy some explosives. Working with Fire and Firecrackers are just so much a part of me.
